Release of Laboratory Results
1. Request and authorization
I ask and authorize Clinical Reference Laboratory, Inc., which tests my sample, and Tasso, Inc. d/b/a Ramorra, which supplies my collection kit, to release my completed laboratory results to Halftime Health LLC ("Halftime"), as my authorized agent, so that Halftime can show them to me in my Halftime account.
This covers every blood test I buy through Halftime, whether I buy it on its own or as part of a membership.
2. What the results include
My results include the value of each marker the test I bought measures. The product page for each test lists its markers.
3. Acknowledgments
I understand and accept that:
(a) The authorizing clinician. A clinician in the network of Arora Health and/or its subsidiary entities ("Arora Health"), licensed in my state, authorizes my lab order by attaching their name to it, as federal lab rules require. This is not a medical review and not a prescription. If the laboratory finds a result in its critical range, federal law requires it to alert that clinician.
(b) One-off tests: no clinician review. If I buy a one-off blood test, Halftime shows my results in my account when the lab releases them. No clinician reviews them.
(c) Not medical advice. Results and the plain-English explanations Halftime shows with them are information, not a diagnosis and not medical advice. They do not replace a conversation with a clinician or my own healthcare provider. I should direct questions about what my results mean for me to a licensed clinician. I can book an optional $49 clinician video visit in my Halftime account.
(d) Direct access from the lab. I may also have a right under federal and state law to get my results directly from Clinical Reference Laboratory, Inc.
(e) How my results are protected. Halftime receives and keeps my results as a business associate of Arora Health, under HIPAA and its business associate agreement with Arora Health, and as described in the Privacy Policy and HIPAA Notice. Halftime never uses my result values for marketing or advertising.
4. If I am a member
This section applies only if I hold a Halftime membership.
A licensed clinician in Arora Health's network reviews my membership panel results, with my intake, before deciding whether any treatment is appropriate. Halftime prepares a biomarker analysis to support that review. Halftime does not decide my treatment. The clinician makes every clinical decision.
5. Revocation
I may revoke this authorization at any time by writing to legal@halftime.health. Revocation does not affect results already released before Halftime received my request.
